The Goya eStoreTM officially launched on the company website www.goya.com in February 2006, offering consumers over 400 of Goya’s top selling products. “The new Goya eStoreTM responds to the ever-growing needs of our consumers.” states Mr. Conrad Colon, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Online shoppers are greeted by a vibrantly designed web store divided into three regional pantries from Mexico, Central & South America and the Caribbean; each chocked full of the special products that typify the cuisine of the selected region. The Goya eStoreTM makes Latin American staples such as beans, olives, and rice as well as a variety of condiments available to consumers within mainland United States, Alaska and Hawaii. “The diversity of people consuming our products throughout the country, coupled with the different ways that they shop has prompted us to offer this unique alternative to our traditional grocery shopping experience instore.” continued Mr. Colon.
Goya will gradually expand its online pantry to make more of the company’s over 1,500 high-quality products available to its electronic consumers. Visitors to the Goya eStoreTM can place their secured orders utilizing all major credit cards. In addition, shipping is available via UPS and consumers are provided the option of choosing regular, 2 day, or next day delivery. A feedback feature is also integrated into the Goya eStoreTM to encourage visitors to forward their comments and requests for new products. Goya will also share with retailers its most popular product requests from area consumers to ensure that shoppers have full access to all Goya products in-store as well as online.
Latin American food aficionados and aspiring cooks can also access a new feature of the Goya website through Goya’s new, online kitchen which offers visitors short, informative video-streams that demonstrate how to make Goya’s classic recipes such as, arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) and habichuelas coloradas (red beans). The Goya website offers consumers a variety of fun, interactive ways to organize their favorite recipes and food products. In 2005 the company launched its highly successful electronic newsletter entitled, News from La Cocina Goya, which also features new recipes, previews of company news and major product announcements, members to the site also participate in promotional events and contests.
“Through the launch of the Goya eStoreTM and the expansion of our online offerings to consumers, we extend our commitment to solidifying Goya as the brand of choice for great tasting, Latino foods to consumers everywhere” concluded Mr. Colon.
