Goya Foods Named #1 Leader in Brand Recognition

- Study Rates Goya Tops in Consumer Trust in Puerto Rico

In a study conducted in May by Estudios Técnicos, Inc. (ETI), Puerto Rico's principal economic and planning consulting firm, Goya Foods was named the most recognized brand in Puerto Rico. Adding to the distinction, the survey also indicated that consumers rated Goya, the largest Hispanic-owned food company in the United States, as one of the top 3 most “trustworthy” brands on the island. The results of the survey were announced by Luis Rodriguez Baez, vice president of ETI during a conference organized by the Association of Sales and Marketing Executives in Puerto Rico. “We are thrilled that our consumers are able to distinguish our brand above all others and even more gratified that they trust our company and associate its many products with the high quality and authenticity that we strive for,” stated Mr. Robert Unanue, President of Goya Foods.

Goya Foods has operated in Puerto Rico since 1949, where the family-owned company enjoys a stellar reputation and will soon inaugurate a 300,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art facility, employing hundreds of residents. The value of Goya’s long-term investment in the island was also reflected by survey participants who indicated that Goya was the company considered “most integral” to the islands’ residents and economy according to the ETI report. Goya’s extensive history in Puerto Rico and the strength of its brand has allowed the company to increase awareness throughout the Caribbean, the mainland U.S. as well as Latin America. “We appreciate Puerto Rican consumers and the trust that they place in our company and products. We look forward to bringing all of our customers the high quality and great taste that they’ve come to expect when they choose the Goya brand,” concluded Mr. Unanue.
