Classic Black Beans and Rice (Reduced Sodium)
This Latino classic can be made more healthfully with Goya’s extended line of healthful Low Sodium products. Made with Goya Low Sodium Black Beans, Goya Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Goya Adobo Light with Pepper, this favorite has all the great taste of the traditional Goya recipe but with just a fraction of the sodium and saturated fat.
Ingredients
1 can (15.5 oz.) Goya Low Sodium Black Beans, undrained
1 tbsp. Goya Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 rounded tbsp. Goya Recaito
½ tsp. Goya Oregano or to taste
¼ tsp. Goya Cumin or to taste
1 packet Sazón Goya Natural & Complete (No salt added)
1 tbsp. Goya Golden Cooking Wine
½ tsp. Goya White Vinegar
½ tsp. brown sugar
Goya Adobo Light with Pepper to taste
¼ cup water
2 cups cooked Canilla Long Grain Rice
Directions
| 1. | In saucepan on medium, combine all ingredients. |
| 2. | Bring to boil lower heat and simmer uncovered until desired consistency, about 10 minutes. Discard bay leaf. |
| 3. | Serve with cooked Canilla rice on side. |
