Pois Et Riz Haitian Style

The name of this recipe is french, but this is a Caribbean version of a great rice and beans meal. A traditional dish in Haiti.


4 tbsp GOYA® Corn Oil

2 tbsp smoked ham - diced

1 - 16 oz. can GOYA® Red Kidney Beans

1 tbsp GOYA® Adobo

2 tbsp fresh parsley

1/4 chili pepper - chopped

4 cups of water

2 cups GOYA® Rice - Medium Grain


1. Heat oil in heavy skillet; add ham and brown. Add the beans, seasoning, parsley and chili pepper.
2. Simmer 3 minutes and add the water. Bring to boil. Add rice and a tsp Corn Oil.
3. Cover, simmer 20-25 minutes.
Serves 2-4
