Pork with Tomatillo Sauce and Rice – Family Meal
Ingredients
4 tbsp. of GOYA® Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1.5 lb. of Pork Shoulder (Cubed)
1 Envelope of GOYA® Sazon Natural & Complete
GOYA® Adobo Light with Pepper, to taste
1 Onion (Diced)
1 Jar of GOYA® Tender Cactus (Nopalitos 30oz) Rinsed and Drained
2 cloves of Garlic
1 Envelope of GOYA® Salad Vegetable Seasoning
2 Jalapenos (Seeded and Diced)
1 Red Bell Pepper (Diced)
2 cups of GOYA® Crushed Tomatillos (26oz. can)
½ tsp. of Sugar
1 tsp. of GOYA® Salsita Jalapeño Chiles
2 cups of Canilla Rice Extra Long Grain
Directions
| 1. | Season the Pork with the Adobo and the Sazon, cover and keep it in the refrigerator till you are ready to cook. |
| 2. | In a clean pan heat two tbsp. of oil and sear the pork on both sides. Then, remove from pan. |
| 3. | In the same pan, add the rest of the oil and cook the onions until they are translucent. Add garlic, peppers, seasoning, and cook for about 5 minutes. |
| 4. | Then add the tomatillo sauce and pork and cook for about 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes, or desired consistency. |
| 5. | Serve over white cooked rice. |
