Shrimps with Coconut & Curry Sauce


2 lbs. medium or large fresh shrimps

¼ cup butter or margarine

1 cup chopped onions

¼ cup strained flour

2½ cups milk

1 tbsp. GOYA® Curry Powder

¾ cup GOYA® Cream of Coconut

1 tsp. salt

½ tsp. ginger powder

¼ cup GOYA® Lemon Juice


1. In a skillet, sautée onions in butter and add flour. Add milk and stir until it softens. Add cream of coconut, curry, salt and ginger. Cook at moderate temperature so it thickens.
2. Add lemon juice and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
3. Add the shrimp and cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
Serves 6-8.
