Steak & Onions with Rice and Beans - Family Meal
A delicious Latin way to make beef with onions. With a side of beans, it’s a source of nutrition and a dish to break the routine, all at an affordable cost. This savory, thinly sliced beef with onions, grilled and seasoned with oregano and black pepper, is a favorite of children and adults alike.
Ingredients
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. black pepper or to taste
1/2 tsp. GOYA® Adobo Light with Pepper
A pinch of oregano
1 tbsp. Vinegar (or lemon juice)
1 lb. trimmed loin or fillet of beef (1/4 inch thick slices)
1 tbsp. GOYA® Corn Oil
2 large onions, sliced very thin
1 can of GOYA® Kidney Beans in Sauce
2 cups of Canilla Rice Extra Long Grain
Directions
| 1. | Mix garlic, black Pepper, Adobo, oregano, vinegar and marinate the beef. |
| 2. | To cook the onions, heat oil in a skillet on low and cook them until barely cooked (keep crisp). |
| 3. | In the same pan cook the beef on both sides and serve. |
| 4. | To cook the Rice, follow the direction on bag. |
| 5. | For the beans just heat them up in a casserole and serve. |
