Fresh Mexican Salsa

Take a trip to Mexico with this crunchy, fresh Nopalitos Salsa. GOYA® Nopalitos is tender cactus, an ingredient used widely in Mexican cuisine. Nopalitos have a crunchy texture with a mild, slightly tart taste. Mix with fresh tomatoes, pimientos, salsa verde and spicy jalapeno peppers for a unique, refreshing salsa.

Ingredients

½ cup GOYA® Tender Cactus (Nopalitos), drained, rinsed and finely chopped

1 medium ripe tomato, cored, seeded and finely chopped (about ½ cup)

1 jar (4 oz.) GOYA® Fancy Pimientos, finely chopped (about ¼ cup)

3 tbsp. GOYA® Salsa Verde

1 GOYA® Whole Jalapeño Pepper, seeded and finely chopped (about 1 tbsp.)

1 tsp. GOYA® Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 tsp. GOYA® Jalapeño Salsita

Directions

1. In medium bowl, mix together nopalitos, tomato, pimientos, salsa verde, jalapeño pepper, olive oil and salsita. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. (Note, salsa can be stored, covered and chilled, for up to 5 days.)
