Tomato Sauce a la Goya

½ cup GOYA® Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

1 tsp of GOYA® minced garlic

1 cup finely chopped onion

6 envelopes Sazón GOYA® with Culantro & Achiote

1 (6oz) can GOYA® Tomato paste

1 bay leaf

¼ tsp clove

¼ cup brown sugar

1 tbsp coarse salt

3-4 tbsp GOYA® hot sauce

3 (8oz) cans GOYA® tomato sauce


1. Heat oil in saucepan. Add garlic, sauté until golden. Add onions, sauté till translucent. Add bay leaf, cloves, and Sazón Goya. Stir for 1 minute. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, simmer, stirring until tomato paste is totally dissolved. Add brown sugar, salt, hot sauce. Simmer until sauce thickens. This is a salsa for chicken or pork.
