Colombian Style Cheese Arepas Topped with Pulled Pork and Dressed with Chipotle Sauce


Ingredients for the Arepa

2 boxes of GOYA® Corn Patties with Cheese (Frozen)

Ingredients for Pulled Pork

3 lbs. of boneless pork shoulder

2 tbsp. of GOYA® Adobo with Pepper or to taste

1 cup of ketchup

½ can of GOYA® Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce

½ cup of brown sugar

½ tbsp. of GOYA® Minced Garlic

1 tbsp. of GOYA® White Vinegar

1 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce

5 cups of water

1 packet of Sazón GOYA® with Coriander & Annatto


1 bottle of GOYA® Salsita Chipotle

1 container of GOYA® Guacamole (Mild)

1 container of sour cream


1. In a small food processor combine the chipotle, sugar, ketchup, garlic and puree till smooth. To make the pork please combine the ingredients in a pot and cook for two hours until the meat falls apart and the sauce is nice and thick, then pull the meat with two forks and combine with the sauce.
2. To cook the arepas follow the directions on the back of the box.
3. For presentation put the arepa in the middle of the plate and top with the pork and drizzle with the three garnishes.
