Tropical Fruit Ice

Lighter than ice cream but richer than sorbet, this Tropical Fruit Ice recipe features the fresh, fruity flavor of frozen GOYA® Guava Fruit Pulp, which is simply 100% natural frozen guava fruit purée. Crème fraiche lends a light, creamy consistency to the guava without weighing it down, and the mixture is sweetened with a simple sugar syrup and flavored with lime zest before being processed in an ice cream maker. The result: an icy-cold dessert that’s tropical, refreshing and unforgettable! Ingredients

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

1 pkg. (14 oz.) frozen GOYA® Guava Fruit Pulp, thawed (or pulp of your choice)

1 cup crème fraiche

½ tsp. grated lime zest

Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish

Directions

1. In saucepan over medium-high heat, bring sugar and water to boil, stirring with wooden spoon until sugar is dissolved; remove from heat and let cool.
2. Whisk guava pulp, crème fraiche and lime zest into sugar syrup until fully incorporated.
3. Process mixture in ice cream maker, according to manufacturer’s instructions. Store in freezer. When ready to serve, scoop into dessert bowls and garnish with mint sprigs.
