Covid-19 Response

Goya has a longstanding history of donating millions of pounds of food in times of disaster and desperate need through the company’s global program Goya Gives.

Covid19 Response

At the start of the pandemic in March of 2020, Goya made an initial donation of over 300,000 pounds of food, equivalent to over 270,000 meals. The food was distributed directly to those facing hardships due to COVID and food insecurities with the help of many organizations, food banks, food pantries and soup kitchens we work with throughout the United States. Due to the shortage of masks, Goya purchased and donated 20,000 protective masks that were distributed to healthcare providers, hospitals and organizations.

Since then, we have continued to donate to communities in need throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, as well as South and Central America. Through our Working for Our Country campaign, we have made a commitment to donate 4 million pounds of food for 2020.

We understand that this is a tough time for many and we will continue to support families, students, and our communities in need. We are in this together and prepared to do our part as best we can.
