President of Goya Foods Bob Unanue celebrated Holy Thursday with His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Monsignor Kevin Sullivan and the Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and announced Goya’s 300,000-pound donation to Catholic Charities of New York’s Bronx Food Distribution Center. The donation is part of Goya Gives, a national initiative committed to promoting and supporting the overall well-being of our communities through social responsibility, environmental initiatives and company values.
In 2016, Goya donated an additional 300,000-pound donation when Catholic Charities of New York opened the Bronx Food Distribution Center to provide much needed food to a network of 26 community-based interfaith pantries and soup kitchens to assist the food insecure and hungry of the Bronx and Northern Manhattan.
