Disaster Relief

In times of desperate need, Goya has always been at the forefront of disaster and humanitarian relief efforts including the world’s most recent hurricane and the most destructive including Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Isaac, Harvey, Irene, Laura, and the earthquake in Haiti.  By providing millions of pounds of nutritious food worldwide, victims of various disasters including women and children are able to seek some solace and hope with a warm meal during a very difficult time.

In 2019 and 2020, in response to the governmental unrest and the outcries of starving children and families in Venezuela, Goya donated 220,000 pounds of food. With the help of non-profits, churches, and charitable organizations located in Venezuela, the food was safely and successfully distributed directly to the people.
