Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, and evaporated milk. Cook over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until the mixture is hot and just begins to simmer, about 4 to 5 minutes.

Step 2

Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the eggs until light, pale, and frothy, about 1 minute. Gradually drizzle the hot milk mixture into the eggs while whisking constantly to gently temper them and prevent curdling. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium-low heat, whisking continuously, until slightly thickened and smooth, about 3 to 4 minutes. Do not allow the mixture to boil.

Step 3

Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender. Add the rum, vanilla extract, bitters, nutmeg, and cloves. Blend on high until smooth, creamy, and frothy, about 1 minute. Pour the ponche crema into a glass bottle or pitcher and cover tightly. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, at least 1 hour.

Step 4

Before serving, shake or stir the ponche crema well, as natural separation may occur during chilling. Pour into glasses filled halfway with ice. Top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with shredded coconut and a light dusting of nutmeg. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Holiday Gift Idea
Share the spirit of the season! Coconut Ponche Crema makes a thoughtful homemade holiday gift. Pour it into small glass bottles, seal tightly, and decorate with festive ribbon, a cinnamon stick, and a personalized gift tag. It’s a delicious way to share holiday cheer with family, friends, and hosts.

Homemade Whipped Cream
The perfect finishing touch! Take your Coconut Ponche Crema to the next level with homemade whipped cream. In a medium bowl, beat 1 cup heavy cream, 3 tablespoons powdered sugar, and ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spoon a dollop on top of each glass just before serving for an extra touch of indulgence.

Mocktail Makeover
Enjoy a family-friendly version! For an alcohol-free Coconut Ponche Crema, substitute the dark rum with your favorite non-alcoholic dark rum. Alternatively, combine 2 teaspoons rum extract with ¾ cup GOYA® Coconut Water to recreate the rich flavor profile while keeping the drink family-friendly.

Storage Tip
Keep It Fresh. Store Coconut Ponche Crema in a tightly sealed bottle or airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Before serving, give it a good shake or stir, as natural separation may occur during storage. Chilling overnight can also help the flavors meld and develop even further.
