Ingredients
1 cup
GOYA® Masarepa – Pre-Cooked White Corn Meal(or pre-cooked yellow corn meal)
½ tsp.
GOYA® Adobo Light with Pepper (50% Less Sodium)(with or without pepper)
2 cups
<p class="p1">boiled water, divided (used as desired)</p>
Directions
Step 1
<p>Place the Masarepa White Corn Meal into a large glass mixing bowl and mix in the Adobo Light.</p>
Step 2
<p>In a small sauce pan bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Turn off heat and set aside.</p>
Step 3
<p>Pour 1 cup of hot water into a Pyrex or heat safe measuring cup. Slowly add the hot water to the cornmeal about ¼ cup at a time, mixing thoroughly with a strong wooden spoon until the entire cup of water is mixed in to form a dough-like consistency. (If you want a more soft porridge like consistency, pour in the remaining hot water and mix well to achieve desired consistency.)</p>
Step 4
<p>Take the cornmeal dough and form into 4 rectangular loaf shapes (approx. 3¼” x 1” x 1½”) <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>– 1 per person.</p>
