Give cornbread a Latin makeover! In this unique recipe, a delicious and quick mix of GOYA® Yellow Masarepa (pre-cooked yellow corn flour), diced jalapeños and cheddar cheese is baked together for a twist on a classic dish. You’ll never think of cornbread the same way again!

Ingredients

1 cup

<p>whole milk</p>

¼ cup

(½ stick) butter, melted

1

<p>egg</p>

¾ cup

<p>all-purpose flour</p>

½ cup

<p>sugar</p>

2 tsp.

<p>baking powder</p>

1 cup

GOYA® Queso de Papa, or shredded cheddar cheese

Step 1

<p>Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 8″x8″ baking pan with cooking spray.</p>

Step 2

<p>In a large bowl, whisk together milk, butter and egg. Stir in masarepa, flour, sugar, baking powder, Adobo, jalapeños and cheese until all ingredients are well combined.</p>

Step 3

<p>Pour into prepared pan and bake 25 minutes until golden or toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from oven, let cool and slice into 12 pieces.</p>
