<p>You can count on a very good morning when you start your day with this Breakfast Quinoa with Blueberries recipe! This creamy breakfast porridge is made by simmering whole-grain GOYA® <a href="http://www.goya.com/english/product_subcategory/Regional-Specialties/Central-South-American#195">Organic Quinoa</a> with milk until tender, then stirring in fresh blueberries, protein-packed walnuts, a touch of brown sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon. We like to think of it as a gourmet take on oatmeal – that also happens to be nutritious too!</p>

Ingredients

2 cups

<p>1% milk</p>

1 cup

<p>water</p>

¼ tsp.

<p>salt.</p>

¾ cup

<p><span> blueberries</span></p>

½ cup

<p><span> toasted chopped walnuts, plus 2 tbsp. for serving</span></p>

¼ cup

<p><span>dark brown sugar</span></p>

¼ tsp.

<p><span>ground cinnamon</span></p>

Step 1

<p>Bring milk and water to boil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in quinoa; return milk to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, stirring occasionally, until quinoa is tender and milk thickens, 14-18 minutes. Remove quinoa from heat.</p>

Step 2

<p>Stir in ½ cup blueberries, ½ cup chopped walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon until thoroughly combined.</p>

Step 3

<p>Divide quinoa evenly among small serving bowls; top with remaining blueberries and walnuts. Serve warm.</p>
