Ingredients
2 tbsp.
¼ cup
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">yellow onion, finely chopped (about ¼ of a medium onion)</span></p>
1 tsp.
GOYA® Chopped Garlic or fresh
¼ tsp.
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">coriander</span></p>
¼ tsp.
<p>cumin</p>
¼ tsp.
<p>tumeric</p>
2 cups
<p>water</p>
Directions
Step 1
<p><span class="s1">Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in onions and cook until soft </span><span class="s1">approx. 5- 8 minutes. Add garlic and sautéed about 1 minute until fragrant but don’t burn.Pour rice into saucepan stir to coat then pour in the spices and 2 cups water and stir to combine.</span></p>
Step 2
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Bring rice mixture to a boil. Lower heat to medium low and simmer, covered until rice is tender and water is absorbed completely, about 25 minutes.</span></p>
Step 3
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Fluff rice with a fork and let it sit, covered for 5 minutes before serving.</span></p>
